Owner - Podcast Studio Amsterdam

Hi! I have a question for you all. I just finished building another setup in one of our studio's. I'm always looking for new inspiration to decorate our rooms to fit the podcasts of our clients. For this one I choose a Japandi inspired look. What we're your biggest inspirations when you were designing your studios? Did you watch hours of YouTube podcasts? Do you have a favorite interior designer? I'm curious! Feel free to share some of your studios!

Vuk Zlatarov
Co-founder - Poddster

So far I've designed 14 sets and every time I would follow the same process. First I would get inspired by browsing different interior design styles, other studio sets, random You Tube videography tutorials. Then I would use Pinterest to put together a moodboard pointing out specifics about each image and what I like about it. I would put special focus on practical lights and elements that would make the set dynamic. Then I would hire an interiro designer to do the actual work of fully designing the set. The results can be seen on Poddster websites.

Hey everyone. We've been gifted a few extra SONY ZV-10 Mark 1's and have been experimenting with its 4K capabilities. As of now with continuous battery power, we're getting 15 minutes before it overheats. Is it even worth it to build a process where we have breaks of recording or should we just opt to not use these cameras for 4K?

Marwan Mohamed
Production Manager - Poddster Dubai

Hey Keith, I have experimented with the same camera for us as well. Honestly, it's really not worth it for this particular camera. You'll run into diffrenent issues later with the small HDMI to large HDMI adapters when you eventually need to connect to a video mixer. I would use the camera to click photos or record some high quality BTS content during the sessions instead.

Wanted to ask what everyone here had done re their website?! Has anyone gone with a ‘generic’ web builder like Squarespace or have most people gone with a custom bespoke offering? Thx a lot.

I’ve done my by myself (I must admit I create website with my principal business) with WordPress and Elementor.

I have a client (radio station) that wants to sign up on a monthly retainer for studio time. I feel like I should have a 'proper' contract for this instead of just a Heads of Terms letter. Can anyone help me with a sample agreement I can use as a basis?

Brianna Peters
Co-Founder and Owner - Gotham Production Studios

Hi David, I can send over some things that have helped me with contracts. What email is best for you?

Client help... We have an LA studio client looking for studios in Boston, Providence, Kansas City, Houston, and Anchorage. Anyone here have locations I can refer to? Thanks!

Michael Scarfo
Co-Owner - AOA Studios

I own a recording studio about 30 minutes north of Boston!
