The podcast industry isn’t just growing, it’s transforming. What started as a niche medium for passionate storytellers has evolved into one of the most powerful forces in modern media. Today, podcasts influence culture, drive business, and give creators a direct line to audiences worldwide. With creators across the world launching new shows every day, everyone seems to be chasing the dream of becoming the next Joe Rogan or Alex Cooper.
But behind every great podcast lies a crucial, often overlooked part of the ecosystem - the podcast studio industry. While creators take the spotlight, thousands of studios worldwide have been quietly building the infrastructure that powers this booming medium. These studios are the unsung heroes, providing the space, expertise, and creative support that make today’s top podcasts possible.
At Podyx, we’ve always believed that if one studio grows, the entire industry grows. That’s why we set out to connect studio owners around the world to create a space where they can share insights, challenges, and wins, and build a stronger community together.
Building the Podcast Studio Owners Community
Our founders, Vuk and Borko, who also run Poddster, a global podcast studio with locations in Dubai, Singapore, and Abu Dhabi, saw firsthand how collaboration can transform the industry. They began creating videos, masterclasses, and behind-the-scenes content, openly sharing what worked (and what didn’t) in building Poddster into an international powerhouse.
From that spirit of openness came the Podcast Studio Owners Community - a hub where studio owners can connect, learn, and grow together. Every month, we host Coffee & Cables, a virtual meetup where members discuss business strategies, new technology, and the future of podcasting. Every month, we host Coffee & Cables, a virtual meetup where members discuss business strategies, new technology, and the future of podcasting. Each week, we also share a new masterclass episode and the latest industry news to help studio owners stay informed and ahead of the curve.

And from one of those Coffee & Cables sessions, a new idea was born:
What if we took this community offline - and met in person?
The First Ever Podcast Studio Owners Meetup - New York City
On October 22, we made history by hosting the first-ever Podcast Studio Owners Meetup in New York City.
More than 30 studio owners from across the world joined us, from India, Hong Kong, the UK, France, and across the United States. To have people fly across continents for a one-day event was nothing short of incredible. Even local NYC studios cleared their busy schedules to spend the day connecting, sharing, and building the future of the industry together.

The event featured powerful, honest conversations and panels led by some of the world’s leading studios:
- Brianna and Matthew Petters, founders of Gotham Production Studios, shared their journey of becoming one of New York’s most sought-after studios, from launching their business to navigating challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Forrest Knight and Andrew Loranger of The Move Miami brought contagious energy and insight, discussing how they built Miami’s premier studio brand trusted by major creators and celebrities alike.
- Vuk and Borko, our co-founders at Poddster, spoke about scaling across continents and how operating in vastly different markets shaped their approach to growth, team management, and creative culture.

Looking Ahead: The Future of Podcast Studios
The event wasn’t just about connection; it was about the future.
We invited industry partners from Stripe, Microsoft, and Team GaryVee (VaynerMedia) to share their insights on how technology, commerce, and creativity are shaping what’s next for studios:
- Ran Wei Baker (Microsoft for Startups) explored the role of AI in studios during the panel “AI Is Not the Future - It’s the Now”, showing how automation and smart tools are redefining content creation.
- Siddharth Astir (Team GaryVee, VaynerMedia) led “From Attention to Ownership”, diving into how studios can help clients grow - because when a creator scales, so does the studio behind them.
- Brendan Egan (Stripe) discussed “The Future of Studio Commerce”, revealing how new payment models and AI-driven financial tools are making it easier for studios to grow revenue and streamline client experiences.

We also hosted two practical, high-impact workshops:
- “Mastering Corporate Sales” by Microsoft’s Andres Ortolá, teaching studios how to use The Challenger Sale framework to win enterprise clients.
- “Turn Your Website Into a Growth Engine” by Vladimir Vujakovic, co-founder of Podyx and founder of Studio Direction, who has designed top-tier websites (including Poddster’s) that turn visitors into paying clients.
We closed the event by sharing the Podyx roadmap: a look at how we’ll continue supporting studios through innovation, education, and global collaboration.
Podyx in New York: Studio Visits & New Series Launch
While in New York, the Podyx team toured several of the city’s top podcast studios to meet the owners behind the mics. We recorded exclusive podcast interviews with each of them. Conversations about creativity, business, and the future of studio culture.
These episodes will soon be released inside our community as part of an exciting new content series dedicated to spotlighting the stories behind the studios.
A Moment of Gratitude
To every studio owner, partner, and sponsor who joined us - thank you. Your presence made this event not just possible, but truly meaningful. Standing in that room, surrounded by people who share the same vision, was something special. It wasn’t just an event; it was the beginning of a movement.
Afterward, many of us gathered at a local bar, where the energy carried late into the night. Stories were shared, friendships were made, and it was clear to everyone there that this was more than networking - it was history in the making.
Years from now, we’ll look back and say, “Remember when there were just 30 of us in that room? Look at where we are now.”
Because there’s a rare kind of beauty in believing in something from the very start and building it together.
Couldn’t Make It to NYC?
If you missed the event, don’t worry, all panels and workshops will be available inside the Podcast Studio Owners Community. Members can rewatch the sessions, join discussions, and access even more exclusive content.
The community is free for all Podyx Premium users, so if you’ve been thinking about joining, now is the perfect time.
Final Thoughts
The podcast studio industry is no longer operating in the shadows - it’s stepping into the spotlight. With collaboration, innovation, and shared vision, we’re building the foundation for what comes next.
This is just the beginning, and the future of podcast studios starts here, with all of us.
